Management Action Plan - Follow-Up Audit of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency - 2013

Canadian Northern Economic Development (CanNor) Agency's Opinion of the Audit Report:

The Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency has reviewed the findings and recommendation and, as far as the scope of this audit is concerned, these accurately reflect the state of control over financial management, contracting travel, hospitality and human resources.

Overall Management Response:

Management accepts the audit findings and provides the fallowing current status of management actions to address the outstanding recommendations:

• The Financial Management Framework document has since been finalized and posted on CanNor's intranet;
• As Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) transitions to its accounting hubs and implements SAP in 2014, CanNor will work with AANDC to secure appropriate system accesses and training; and
• The CFO of CanNor will continue to provide instructions and training to staff and will implement monitoring of transactions to ensure compliance with the relevant sections of the FAA
