The Kinngait Studios housed at the Kenojuak Cultural Centre and Print Shop is the country’s best-known Inuit artist studio, and the oldest fine art printmaking facility in Canada. The studio has been at the heart of Kinngait (Cape Dorset) for over half a century. The prints and carvings produced by Inuit artists working in the studio have been actively sought by collectors from around the world.

For many years, CanNor has worked alongside the West Baffin Eskimo Collective in supporting Inuit visual artists in Kinngait (Cape Dorset). The studio has tremendous cultural and economic significance to those in the community and supports experienced Inuit artists, and those just starting out, by providing training and developing their skills in printmaking, painting, and carving. As well, Inuit artists have sometimes experienced challenges in properly benefitting from the success of their art. New professional development training at the studio works to address this issue.

This training, along with marketing and outreach, continues to grow the studio's visibility and reputation ad bring economic growth to the community.
